According to TimeOut, New Year’s Eve celebrations across Dubai were called off. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered the cancellation of all forms of celebrations marking the New Year in Dubai emirate, as an act of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
So yeah, If you have tickets for a party in dubai its off unless its a private party. Personally I’m not agreeing with HHS Mohammed. I say keep the parties going, keep the tourists coming, and donate a few million AED or a hospital or something.
